Thanks for posting this Bella. Very moving.

In a similar vein there was a piece on Radio 4 this morning about proposed wind turbines near Offa's Dyke. One of the local people interviewed was a lady who had escaped communist Czechoslovakia. Her comments about the simple joy of seeing colourful things in the shops, being able to move about freely and being able to say what she wanted, even criticising the Prime Minister without being put in a 'cold room' were wonderful. In contrast were her comments about that changing and how we now must seek permission for every little thing.

I just wish you could have heard it in person. Every one of the roughly 150 people in the room were fixated on Professor Kors. Afterward, the coordinator of the event resumed the podium and struggled merely to thank Professor Kors without choking on tears. Many people in the room were crying. It was an amazing event.

It's enough to make a grown man weep.
(I mean no disrespect - the saying itself is non-PC)
