His faith has not been highlighted as a major factor for his (probable) insanity, which, considering how this might have been seized upon and exaggerated here, is rather refreshing. I suppose it's quite surprising there are not more such incidents in the USA, considering how many guns and aggrieved people are out there. But would you ever condone torture? Say you captured a nut-job who had hidden captives wired to explode in a few hours time - would any method of extracting information about the location be acceptable?
