This actually appears to show that our correspondent has thought about our proposed action rationally and still disagrees with it. Other signs of disapproval can be closer to the childrens' reflexive "yuck" at anything green appearing on their dinner plate, or (politics especially) compared to the inbred rituals of different tribes.
